On redemption of a Merchcoin, our Merchcoin wallet will send the redeemer a ready-to-go gift card code either directly or by purchasing the underlying gift card with our digital currency float.
Currently, you can use ETH, DAI and USDC.

We are actively working to make redemption an instantaneous process. Currently, it can take up to 24 hours for major retailers. However, smaller, lesser-known retailers may take up to 48 hours.
Merchcoins are held within your own personal wallet. We do not have custody of any of your assets.
During the redemption process, we act as a trusted party. We're happy to help you test out the process, and verify that redemption will always work.

In addition, we provide a buyback program for all major merchcoins, where we'll always buy back the merchcoin at a specific price point.
